Bashuayi says goodbye to Besiktas: Thanks to the enthusiasm of the fans, it’s time to say goodbye

Star City, May 23 — Bashuayi took to Twitter today to say goodbye to besiktas fans.

Bashuayi wrote: “Dear Besiktas fans, it is time for me to say goodbye to you. I have a lot to say, but HERE I will try to be as concise as possible.”

“First of all, I want to thank all of you for the warm welcome you’ve given me since my first day here. I have never seen such passion, you made me instantly fall in love with the country and this club immediately felt like home.”

“Our season has been very difficult, long and frustrating. You and I, we both know besiktas could have done better.”

“I’ve never cheated, I’ve never been lazy, I’ve given everything for the shirt but I haven’t scored as many goals as I should have and it’s been tough. There’s a lot of frustration on every side, but I want you to remember me in a good way.”

“I will only remember the good memories of the Super Cup, the atmosphere and the best games we have ever played.”

“I wish the club, all the staff, my team-mates and everyone at Besiktas all the best for the future because you deserve it and thank you again.”

Bashuayi, who joined Besiktas on loan from Chelsea last summer, has scored 12 goals and five goals in 42 appearances this season and is set to return to the Blues this summer as the Belgian striker is contracted to Chelsea until 2023.
