Manchester City will only release Michael Acker if they get a good offer and find a suitable replacement, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Telegraph has previously said Chelsea are confident of signing ake and are in talks with City for him as well as Sterling.

However, City do not have many central defenders and Acker is one of four in the first team, so the club are not interested in selling him at the moment. Guardiola’s rule for players leaving the club is that if a player wants to go, then the right offer and the club find a suitable replacement, he can go.

Given that Ake has won two titles since joining city for £41 million two years ago, Chelsea would have to spend more than £50 million to get City to consider letting him go.
