Everton manager Frank lampard has been fined £30,000 for making improper comments about refereeing decisions, the Football Association has announced.

After a 2-0 defeat at Liverpool in the 34th round of the Barclays Premier League, lampard said: “Gordon could have scored twice, but at Anfield you often don’t get penalties. Responding to Gordon’s second fall, lampard said: “Salah would have given it. It was a penalty.”

The FOOTBALL Association has been investigating his comments for some time. Today, the FA announced the penalty: “The FA’s independent Regulatory Commission has imposed a fine of £30,000 on Frank Lampard following comments he made in the media which were subsequently charged by the FA and which were confirmed at his personal hearing.”

“Everton manager Frank Lampard’s comments on the Liverpool VS Everton game after round 34 of the Premier League amounted to improper conduct as the comments were prejudiced, attacked the ethics of referees and embroiled the game itself in controversy.”
