Telegraph: Liverpool want Bayern Munich to make a £ 40m bid for Mane to help them sign Eduardo Nunez

Liverpool are hoping bayern Munich will match Manet’s £40 million price tag to create the conditions for the signing of Manuel Nunez, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Nunez’s transfer is understood to be expected to cost an initial fee of £60m, with a variable clause of £15m to £20m, of which at least 50 per cent is expected to be realised in the short term.

Liverpool have had informal discussions with nunez’s team about the player’s salary, both sides have understood each other’s demands and Klopp is in full agreement to sign nunez. Fenway have long believed nunez’s true value is around £60 million, but accepting a deal could include some realistic add-ons. If Nunez achieves some of his goals, the deal will surely set Liverpool’s record.

Liverpool have rejected two bids from Bayern Munich for manet, who is valued at more than £40m, and have made their position clear. Bayern have also faced a transfer dilemma over lewan this summer and are aware that although manet and Lewan both have 12 months left on their contracts, that does not automatically mean a discount on a potential transfer fee.

Renowned agent Jorge Mendes has been authorised by Benfica to manage the transfer of Nunez. If Mane ends up moving to Bayern, it could help Liverpool accelerate their pursuit of Nunez. United are also interested in Nunez but have not made an offer.
